Up north here in Pennsylvania taxes run around 1,200. A yr. And homes around 125,000. I moved up here to get out high taxes in Lehigh Valley.

The lot rent where I live is ridiculous. Renting an apartment is insane! Bought a high end home for the cheap. If I keep it for 5 years I will still make money on it.

My parents bought their home in 1966 for $20,000 @ 6% interest. I bought my second home, about the same square footage, in 1992 at it cost $175,000 at 7.5% interest. When I bought my home my wife and I working together were making less than $50,000/yr. So an example, $175,000 x 3 = $525,000. $50,000 x 3 = $150,000. So where is the bubble?

What you're saying is not a crash those prices will be sent to the rental market as well if people decide to sell their expensive homes due to increased taxes and insurance they will create a demand for the small houses which have less insurance and taxes this is the way inflation works and the FED loves inflation so we will see increased wage inflation in the future

Non insurable homes should be CHEAP..

I bought my home 8 years ago. My insurance has gone up a little, maybe 1-2% during that time. On the other hand, my property tax has almost doubled in the 8 years. My home has gone up in value by 50-75%. Inflation hasn’t impacted me. In fact, I have found ways to cut expenses and save more.
